Loving it..... Every Second of It!!

Had a great day out with the kids. Took them to a park we have never been to and we played miniature golf and went for a nice long walk. The kids LOVED it, there was a skate park there, a pond, a pier, bridges to cross & explore, and a a few hills to roll down. It doesn't even feel like exercise when you are having fun!!

Since I have started eating healthier, instead of stopping at McDonalds and eating in the car as I drive, we now pack a picnic lunch and all sit together and enjoy our company. I didn't even realize until I got home and unpacked my picnic basket that I only ate half my sandwich, yet I felt content all day!! I don't think I have ever in my life forget to finish ANYTHING!! I usually eat every morsel, hopefully my stomach is shrinking..... does that really happen?? lol

Hopefully this is the beginning of many changes for my family. If one of the perks of a healthier lifestyle is a closer knit family, bring it ON!!

Well Hello Old Friend...

Oh, Hi WILLPOWER!! So nice to meet you!! Its been SOOOO long since you have been in my life, nice to have you back.... smooches!!   I am really surprised at the things I have been able to say NO to and not even care, things that a month ago I NEVER would have denied myself. Things I would have undoubtedly over indulged myself in. Logging every morsel is totally paying off, especially if I want to stay within my caloric range. There have been a couple of times I ate something I wished I hadn't, and the consequence for that was having to cut back for the rest of the day.... not worth it. I like to EAT!!

My AHA Moment.....

I've been on the Lose IT! program for about a week and a half now and I am down 2.5 pounds, I don't really SEE a difference, but I have noticed something...  Eating healthier, moving around more, and drinking the water I should be has given me the fuel I need to FEEL better. I feel like I have been in a better mood lately and walking with a little extra pep in my step. I have even noticed I have been sleeping better and feeling more restful in the morning. Really makes ya question the CRAP we so easily put in our bodies and the effects they have on us. So I have come to the realization that losing weight and getting healthier has more to do with just staying under my calorie allowance, but I must be AWARE of what those calories are from. Its one thing to stay under budget eating all the same crap I used to but just in smaller portions... Its a whole other to make completely better choices and get those calories from the things I am SUPPOSE to be eating!!

Anyone else feel the same??

Here I go again....

Ok, here I go again.... its been YEARS since I've blogged regularly and I think I kind of missed it. There have been many weight loss efforts in my past, but I can tell you one thing, this time I AM SO GONNA LOSE IT!!

So I am using this great iphone app I have fallen in love with called LoseIT, it has actually given me the structure I need to stick to my caloric intake I have always tried to cut down on the past, but now I have rules. I am accountable to all those little LoseIT friends who see my progress, gains, and losses.

So we will see how this round goes!! Wish me luck!!
